This is an Ecomobile. As you can see, this has two seats inside of its cacoon. From what I understand, the “training wheels” can be raised and lowered by the rider (driver?). Sometimes, it seems as if the wheels also go down by themselves below a certain speed, and then rise again when the vehicle takes off.
I saw one woman who rode one of these pull out quite a lot of luggage for her and her companion from one of these. They (that would be the infamous “they”) say that the learning curve to drive one of these things is steep.
The instructor had a turbo-charged one, and another one had a tail fin (rudder?) he made himself for crosswinds.
