959 Reasons To Love

Baby's Got Back

There are some differences that are easily seen by the naked eye to distinguish the new 420 bhp 911 (996) Turbo from a normal, plebian 296 bhp 911 (996). There’s the obvious wing, the 959-like slats on the bottom corners, and the lens of the taillights. Oh -- and then there’s the large cloud of dust it leaves behind in its wake.

Say Cheese!

There are also a few changes up front. The headlights are new, as well as the front fascia. It now has much deeper air dam. And the smile? That’s from the driver.

Wheel A Fortune

New 911 Wheel

For all of you out there that must have the latest Porsche wheels, you’ve just fallen behind. As with the previous 911 (993) Turbo, Porsche has introduced a new wheel with it’s top of the line 911. The previous wheel had a ring on the outside face where it was spun-welded. That seam is now gone with this new wheel. Rumor has it that the cost of this new wheel is enough to keep a family of Bavarians swimming in bier  for some time.

‘S’ Is For Super

Porsche Boxster S

Oh, yeah. There’s also the new Boxster S, although not many people seemed to pay attention to it. That’s probably because it looks very similar to the standard Boxster, and because the new 911 Turbo was hogging up all of the attention.

Still, 250 bhp is nothing to sneeze at.
