There’s a bridge [9:54:09]
right after the start of the video. Steer towards the middle
of the bridge (Quiddlebacher Höhe sign) to line you up for
“Flugplatz” means “place of flight.”
This is the quick uphill near the beginning. Cars going at speed
get very light (or airborne) here [9:53:20
- light]. umm... try not to turn if you’re in the air.
Immediately after uphill is a double-apex right-hander. Apex
a bit wide in the beginning, keep your arc, and apex the second
There’s a few turns and some hills, After a bit, you’re actually
gaining quite a bit of speed heading into Schwedenkreuz (Swedish
Cross - 9:54:59), the left-hander
towards the end. This can be deceiving. It should be an easy
turn, but I’ve known of some people really losing it here (rollovers).
Lift off the gas or do some moderate braking (depending on your
speed) as you turn left and set yourself up for Armberg. It looks
like I’m early apexing this corner-- don’t do that.
Armberg is a tight turn. There’s quite a bit of braking for
this right-hander, and the turn-in [9:55:12
- my early turn in] and apex [9:55:16
- apex] are both very late. I think I early apexed this
one, too. Go figure.
