About The Starting Gate

This starts off in the parking lot and then shows me going through the entrance gate. I’m at the gate a long time because I couldn’t reach to insert the ticket with my 5-pt harness on. Call me Short.
The first section is a straightaway-- boring stuff (Antoniusbuche -> Tony’s book? / Tiergarten -> zoo). You can build up a lot of speed here, but be careful. It’s hilly, and there’s a sharp right-hander at the end.
Right before the right-hander, I go over some curbing. That’s the actual line through that area, not a mistake.
The clip ends at the old start-finish line. This is where the old Porsche 911 Turbo commercial showed an old man collecting tickets from Porsche engineers to go onto the track. Well, that was the actual guy on the commercial. And yes, I’m old enough to have had him collect a ticket or two from me.
