This is looking down the street of Porsche center. Halfway down the block on the right is the Porsche Museum. All the way at the end is the Porsche factory (where the big smoke stack is). I happened to be down here on a Sunday, which is a good time to see it. There’s no one around, and it’s still open. The museum itself is not very big, and the cars are probably rotated regularly. That means that the cars you see here may not be there when you visit. |

I can’t remember which race car this is (well, I can say this is #23), but what I thought was funny was the sponsor -- a pig producer of some sort. The car is sectioned off like pieces of a pig, but in German.
If you look down to the end of the room in the picture, then you’ve seen almost the entire museum.

I haven’t seen clearance this high on a Porsche since my friend Mike Evan’s 928S race car. This 911 was raced in the Paris-Dakar rallies.
